Our highly qualified educators collaborate to reflect and support the academic growth of our students. The majority of our staff is multilingual and 75% of our teachers have earned ESL licensure. We are equipped to meet the needs of all students, including ELL’s and children with special needs.
At the Otis, faculty and staff create a positive learning environment where students feel welcome, comfortable and secure. Students know that their classroom is always a friendly and an encouraging place. They are respected and able to share ideas and try challenging activities without apprehension. Our teachers bring their unique strengths to the school with great passion and commitment to create a warm and vital climate for all of their students. One of the most unique characteristics of the Otis is the longevity of our educators. Over half of our faculty have been at the Otis for over 20 years. Collaborating with the younger members of the staff, they have helped build a vibrant community that people are passionate about and want to remain part of , often for entire careers.
